urakarta Mayor FX Hadi Rudyatmo denied on Tuesday reports that the wedding receptions of President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo' eldest son would be open to the public.
Rudyatmo, who is among members of the wedding organizers, has that warned anyone attempting to enter the venue without an invitation would be barred entry.
"If you're not invited, do not come. Presidential protocol is in place even though it is a private event," said Rudyatmo.
"I repeat, there won't be any public festivities, no open house. Only those with invitations will be granted access."
Jokowi's son Gibran Rakabuming Raka is slated to tie the knot with Selvi Ananda on June 11 in the President's hometown of Surakarta, Central Java. At least 4,000 guests are expected to attend the receptions. (ren)(++++)
