Nearly 100 people poisoned by Doger iced beverage

t least 98 residents of Pematang Raman subdistrict in Muaro Jambi regency, Jambi province, fell ill on Thursday after consuming Doger iced beverage.

They were rushed to nearby the Puskesmas community health center after complaining of nausea, vomiting and diarrhea after drinking the beverage.

Kumpeh Ilir Police chief Adj. Comr. Amin Nasution said his subordinates were searching for the beverage seller.

"The search is being conducted jointly with officers from the Muaro Jambi Police," he said on Friday, adding that several of the affected residents had been sent to a hospital in Jambi City because of the seriousness of their illness. (hhr)
