A eight-year-old girl who was reportedly missing was found dead in the backyard of her house at Jl. Sedap Malam No. 26, Denpasar, Bali on Wednesday.

The remains of the girl, known as Angeline, were found buried along with her doll.

"We can confirm that we recovered her remains under a banana tree and covered with trash," Bali Police chief Insp. Gen. Rony F. Sompie said as quoted as by tribunnews.com.

Angelina has been reportedly missing since she was spotted playing in front of her house on Saturday at 3 p.m. local time.

Since her disappearance, social media media users have shared pictures of her as part of an effort to find her. (dmr)(+++)
