he Indonesia Pavilion has recorded US$729,000 in sales during CommunicAsia 2015, a communication and information technology-based product exhibition held in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, from June 2 to 5.

'€œIndonesian products managed to record $729,000 worth of transactions during the exhibition,'€ the Trade Ministry'€™s director general for national export development, Nus Nuzulia Ishak, said as quoted by Antara in a press statement in Jakarta on Thursday.

Of the total estimated orders, he said, monitor equipment sold to Malaysian buyers accounted for $300,000 worth. Meanwhile, animation product sales amounted to $257,000 worth of transactions from buyers from Australia, Brunei Darussalam, France, Malaysia and Singapore. Locally manufactured Muslim animation products had also attracted buyers from Brunei Darussalam, he added.

'€œThe buyers have even planned to visit Bandung after the exhibition, demonstrating their serious intent to explore the potential of Indonesia'€™s promising business,'€ said Nus.

Meanwhile, other information, technology and communication products, such as smart-home systems, neon-light transformer monitoring systems, tracking and monitoring systems and data-center monitoring systems totaled just $172,700 worth of transactions.

'€œThe products were ordered by buyers from Australia, Malaysia and Singapore,'€ said Nus, adding that several Indonesian entrepreneurs visiting the exhibition were also attracted by many products.

As many as 62,000 exhibitors and almost 2,000 buyers participated in the exhibition. (ebf)(++++)
