Actress Risty Tagor very much wanted to fast during Ramadhan despite being five weeks pregnant.
But morning sickness meant the 26-year-old could not realize her plan to fast from dawn until dusk.
'During sahur [the predawn meal], I kept feeling nauseous and throwing up. I have not completed a single day [of fasting because of it],' she told kapanlagi.com.
Now, she always has candy in her pocket to curb the nausea.
Having achieved fame for her roles in local soap operas and films, Risty married fellow actor Stuart Collin on April 19. From her previous marriage to Rifky Balweel she has a son named Arsen.
