Guess what?: Slank'€™s Bimbim moved by '€˜umrah'€™

Kapanlagi.com

Bimbin, the drummer in the band Slank, found his recent umrah (minor pilgrimage to Mecca) to be a heart-moving experience.

At first, he said he felt a bit intimidated seeing so many pilgrims break into tears when performing the tawaf (counter-clockwise walk around the Ka'€™bah).

'€œWhat I saw made me feel doubtful and anxious. But when taking the walk, I enjoyed it,'€ he told kompas.com.

Bimbim, who performed the umrah with his family and Slank vocalist Kaka, also encouraged younger people to perform the pilgrimage without having to wait until they are old.

'€œThere is a myth in our society that one should wait until one is 60 to go there. [I believe] we should go there while we are young,'€ he said, adding young pilgrims would be physically strong to perform the pilgrimage.
