Bali ranks 14th as the cheapest destination for beers in the world and the third in Southeast Asia, according to the 2015 Beer Price Index.
According to the index, issued by travel search engine GoEuro, the average price for a can or bottle of beer (330 ml) in bars or supermarkets in Bali is US$2.18, cheaper than beers in Manila, the Philippines and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The index also puts Indonesia's tourist island beers as the third cheapest in Southeast Asia after Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Bangkok, Thailand.
Krakow, Poland is number one on this year's list as the city that sells the cheapest beer at a price of $1.66. Geneva, Switzerland, lands on the other end of spectrum, being the most expensive at $6.32.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong takes second place as the most expensive city for beers.
With an average tag price of $6.16, Hong Kong is the most expensive city for beers in Asia, followed by Singapore at $5.13.
The 2015 Beer Price Index combines data from 75 cities around the world, analyzing the 5 most commonly imported beers as well as the main local beers. (ika)(+++)
