Hercules A-1321 military plane carrying the bodies of 14 victims of a recent plane crash, and their family members, aborted takeoff from Soewondo Air Force base in Medan, North Sumatra, twice on Friday afternoon due to bad weather.
The aircraft had prepared to fly to Ranai in Natuna, Riau Islands, at 6 p.m., but bad weather and low visibility forced crew to abort takeoff.
Earlier on Friday, the plane was scheduled to leave at 6:30 a.m. but developed engine trouble.
The flight has been rescheduled for Saturday.
As of 5 p.m. Thursday, 114 bodies from the crash had been identified, according to North Sumatra Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Helfi Assegaf. (++++)
