AKARTA: Seven children in Penggilingan, Cakung, East Jakarta, were arrested by the police on Friday morning after they were caught throwing stones and nails at a passing train.
The children, aged between 11 and 16 years old, had been arrested on a rail track connecting Cakung and Klender Baru stations, said Eva Chairunisa of PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ), as quoted by tribunnews.com.
'They were caught throwing stones and nails at a train,' she said.
According to Eva, the seven children ' with initials MR, A, Ra, Ri, Re, MF and Lu ' adds to the list of children arrested on Thursday for similar offenses.
The children were taken to Cakung sub-precinct for questioning, with their parents also asked to visit the station.
The children, Eva claimed, had thrown projectiles at trains several times in the past.
