AKARTA: Renowned comedian Indro Warkop is to have a part in musical Janji Toba (Toba'€™s Promise), which centers on the legend behind Lake Toba in North Sumatra, Indonesia'€™s largest lake.

Sharing the stage with former Samsons vocalist Bams, Cindy '€œAFI'€ Carolina and Rony Dozer, Indra said that the musical would be a medium to hone his acting skills.

'€œWhen I landed the role, I felt like it was my chance to learn more. For me, art is a never-ending learning process,'€ he said in a press conference on Thursday, as quoted by kapanlagi.com.

Produced by Banyu Wenning Production, the musical will debut at Ciputra Artpreneur Theater in Jakarta on Aug. 29.
