AKARTA: Rapper Iwa K says he faced challenges when dubbing the character of an Autobot in Transformer: Age of Extinction, which is to be broadcast on HBO Asia on July 17.
'I voiced Hound, who swears a lot,' the 44-year-old rapper said during an event to promote the film in Jakarta on Thursday, as quoted by news portal tribunnews.com.
'For instance, the words 'Hell yeah'. It would be peculiar if I dubbed it into 'Neraka iya',' he said, prompting laughter from guests and journalists.
To interpret Hound's lines, Iwa said he held long discussions with dubbing and language directors during the recording process.
'There were lots of discussions on how the swear words could be adapted into Indonesian.'
