Pop singer Titi DJ plans to release an album that comprises songs written by composer Yovie Widianto and sung by pop group Kahitna.
'The album, entitled Titi in Love Yovie, is now in the mixing phase and will be released by the end of this year,' Titi said as quoted by kompas.com.
However, she declined to reveal the songs that would be put in the album, saying they would consist of several ballads and up-tempo songs.
'It's pretty challenging to sing Yovie's songs because they are usually sung by male singers and in the album, I will try to sing it from woman's point of view,' said Titi, who is famous for the song, 'Bahasa Kalbu'.
Titi, 49, said it was fun to cover Yovie's songs, which had been rearranged with some current musical trends.
'Many of Yovie's songs are commercial, but if you look more deeply, it is Yovie that created the market,' she said.
