oreign Ministry has identified two Indonesian victims in the recent bombing in Bangkok, Thailand, as Lioe Lie Tjing (61) and Hermawan Indrajaja (61).
Lioe was killed in the blast occurring near Erawan shrine in Bangkok, while Hermawan is still receiving intensive care at a local hospital in Bangkok.
Foreign Minister Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi said her team had contacted the victims' families.
'Our team is still collecting information at present,' she said, as quoted by tempo.co on Tuesday..
The Ministry's director for protection, Muhammad Iqbal, said that the information on the victims was received from the victims' families. He said the Indonesian embassy in Bangkok received a phone call from the victims' families, reporting that their relatives were missing.
Both victims are believed to have been visiting the Erawan shire as tourists. The shrine is known as a popular destination for tourists.
A bomb exploded at 6.55 p.m. local time on Monday, killing at least 18 people and injuring more than a hundred people, AP reported. (ika)(+++)
