Guess what?: Indra Bekti to go bald for charity

TV personality Indra Bekti will donate his hair for the Shave for Hope 2015 charity event on Sept. 6.

'€œI hope I can raise at least Rp 200 million [US$14,409] for the charity. I need to find more donors,'€ he said as quoted by kapanlagi.com on Thursday.

Initiated by radio and TV host Steny Agustaf, the charity event gathers TV personalities to get their heads shaved to raise money for children with cancer.

Steny said the event, in collaboration with Yayasan Pita Kuning Anak Indonesia and the AMSA Foundation, was the second since 2013. In the first event, musician Eddy Brokoli collected Rp 160 million in donations for shaving his iconic frizzy do.

'€œOur biggest challenge is to create a sustainable event because the number of children with cancer keeps on increasing,'€ said Steny.

Besides Indra and Eddy, Tora Sudiro, Dimas Danang, Sogi Indra Dhuaja, Ananda Omesh and Melanie Soebono have confirmed their participation in the charity event.
