he Yogyakarta National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) has arrested a Nigerian citizen and his Indonesian wife for the possession of 2.7 kilograms of crystal meth, known locally as sabu-sabu, worth around Rp 4.1 billion (US$290,000).

'€œWe arrested them on Wednesday at Jl. Taman Siswa in cooperation with the National Narcotics Agency [BNN] head office [in Jakarta],'€ said head of BNN'€™s Central Java command Sr. Comr. Soetarmono on Saturday as quoted by kompas.com.

The Nigerian citizen and his wife, who is originally from West Java, have been flown to the BNN head office for further investigation.

'€œThey will be flown here [to Yogyakarta] again for a reconstruction process,'€ said Soetarmono. (edn/kes)(++++)
