Vice President Jusuf Kalla said on Thursday that contrary to speculation, there had been no talks of a Cabinet reshuffle.

"It has not been discussed yet," Kalla said as reported by tempo.co.

He also denied that there had been movement by political parties in the Great Indonesia Coalition (KIH).

Kalla, however, said that he and President Joko '€œJokowi'€ Widodo continuously evaluated the Cabinet.

"We evaluate the Cabinet all the time. We always evaluate [our subordinates] and give them advice," he said.

There has been speculation of a Cabinet shake-up following the National Mandate Party (PAN)'s decision to join the pro-government coalition in September.

The Vice President has said there are no guaranteed ministerial posts for PAN.

"I don't think there is a connection[ to PAN joining]. It did not join for [ministerial posts]. We thanked them for joining us but we have not talked of a reshuffle yet," he said.

PAN chairman Zulkifli Hasan previously said that his party would ready one of its top members if Jokowi gave the party a seat in the Cabinet.

PAN was a member of the Red-and-White Coalition (KMP) that backed Prabowo Subianto and Hatta Rajasa in last year's presidential election.

Jokowi changed the composition of ministers in his Cabinet in mid-August, replacing five ministers and cabinet secretary.(rin)
