The Bekasi Police in West Java confiscated illegal drugs worth Rp 1 billion (US$73,057) on Friday.
'Seized evidence included 1,070 ecstasy pills and 306 grams of crystal methamphetamine worth Rp 1 billion,' said Bekasi Police chief Comr. Awal Chairuddin as quoted by kompas.com.
The evidence was seized in connection with a suspected drug dealer identified as LS, 27. Awal said the police had apprehended the suspect following the capture on Sept. 16 of a drug user with the initials DP and another dealer with the initials MB.
The police suspected they were part of an expansive network and are continuing their investigations. (liz)
