AKARTA: Indonesia brought home one gold and one bronze medal on Friday from the IPF Open World Championships in Hamm, Luxemburg. Sri Hartati nailed the gold medal in the women'€™s 57 kilograms, while compatriot Noviana Sari snatched the bronze in the women'€™s 63 kg.

Sri was awarded with the gold after lifting a total of 537.5 kg (210 kg in squat, 135 kg in bench press and 192.5 kg in dead lift). Meanwhile, Noviana lifted a total of 570 kg (225 kg in barbell, 130 kg in bench press and 215 kg in dead lift).

'€œIt is a good result, and will hopefully boost the morale of our athletes who are going to participate in upcoming world weightlifting championships in Houston in the US,'€ Indonesian Weightlifting, Powerlifting and Bodybuilding Association (PABBSI) chief Rosan P. Roeslani said as quoted by Antara news agency.
