The Indonesian government has released a travel warning on Monday for Indonesians planning to travel to France, as well as those in the country following last week's attacks in Paris that claimed 129 lives.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Arrmanatha Nasir told thejakartapost.com that the travel warning '€œfollowed the state of emergency status set by the French government.'€

Indonesian citizens traveling to France were urged to monitor the situation updates on the French government'€™s official websites and be aware of the security conditions.

While those already in France must '€œstay on alert and avoid public places and obey suggestions and policies in effect.'€

The ministry also urged citizens to follow updates from the Foreign Affairs Ministry at the Indonesian Embassy in Paris and Marseille Consulate from time to time and to bring identity cards, passports and important telephone numbers when traveling.

Diplomat at the Indonesian Embassy in Paris Yoseph Tutu said that no Indonesian casualties or victims had been reported. '€œAround 103 victims have already been identified, some officials of other nations, such as Belgium, Portugal, Romania and Spain, have stated that their citizens were victims," Yoseph said.
