The government has prepared a draft of its seventh economic policy package to anticipate a raise in interest rates from the US central bank, according to Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
The draft would be discussed on the sidelines of President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's meetings on Friday and announced publically when all details were confirmed, Pramono added.
Pramono said in Jakarta on Friday that the government's seventh economic policy package would include aspects of 'efficiency, productivity and ease of doing business", adding the latter would primarily highlight the issue of the Negative Investment List (DNI) ' a registry of industries that are wholly or partially closed to foreign investors.
"Regarding the DNI, there are several complaints such as ['¦] why it is not just maintained with majority control by the state. That is one of the things that will be discussed," said Pramono. (kes)(+)
