AKARTA: City-owned property developer PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) is cooperating with state-owned housing company PT Pembangunan Perumahan (PP) to carry out property and infrastructure projects in the capital city.
'Two sectors ' property and infrastructure ' will be our focus,' said Jakpro president director Abdul Hadi after signing a memorandum of understanding at City Hall on Friday.
Abdul said both companies would use their assets such as land plots for joint projects. 'We both have land plots in Lebak Bulus in South Jakarta. We will build housing complexes there,' he said.
PP president director Bambang Triwibowo said the cooperation was a major sign of faith in his company, as state-owned companies could also participate in developing the capital city.
'We will do our best to build low-cost apartments and other property projects in many locations,' he said.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama and State-Owned Enterprises Minister Rini Sumarno.
