AKARTA: City-owned property developer PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) is cooperating with state-owned housing company PT Pembangunan Perumahan (PP) to carry out property and infrastructure projects in the capital city.

'€œTwo sectors '€” property and infrastructure '€” will be our focus,'€ said Jakpro president director Abdul Hadi after signing a memorandum of understanding at City Hall on Friday.

Abdul said both companies would use their assets such as land plots for joint projects. '€œWe both have land plots in Lebak Bulus in South Jakarta. We will build housing complexes there,'€ he said.

PP president director Bambang Triwibowo said the cooperation was a major sign of faith in his company, as state-owned companies could also participate in developing the capital city.

'€œWe will do our best to build low-cost apartments and other property projects in many locations,'€ he said.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Jakarta Governor Basuki '€œAhok'€ Tjahaja Purnama and State-Owned Enterprises Minister Rini Sumarno.
