"We always try to provide interesting entertainment to passengers during their journey. For a total of 13 hours, fans of Star Wars will be able to enjoy all the movies in marathon when they're on a long flight with Emirates," said Emirates customer experience divisional vice president Patrick Brannelly in a press release on Monday.
The Star Wars' seventh installment, "The Force Awakens", is slated to be available as in-flight entertainment early next year, he added.
Beyond the Star Wars film series, some 500 additional movies will be added in January.
Emirates has also announced the inclusion of in-flight Wi-Fi and a new generation entertainment system for its latest fleet, Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A380, which includes a larger screen, 13.3-inch for economy class seats, 23-inch for business class seats and 32-inch for first class seats.
The airline has also introduced a new children's animal toys series as well as activity bags in cooperation with Lonely Planet, each contains creative travel gear such as a world map, travel journal, plastic drinking bottle, world fact cards and educational books. (kes)(+)
