he pop punk band Endank Soekamti took a different approach with their new album by recording the songs outdoor.
'We rented the Gili Suda islet in Lombok [West Nusa Tenggara] for a month. We recorded on the beach and on board the boat,' said vocalist and bassist Erix as reported by kapanlagi.com on Monday.
'We tried our best to make the process fun because the album concept itself is about going on holiday while working.'
The sixth album is titled Soekamti Day, a tribute to their fans, called the Kamtis Family.
'Everytime we play a show, our fans from different towns gather for the concert. We call the day we are together with the Kamtis the Soekamti Day,' explained Erix.
The Yogyakarta-based band was formed in 2001 by Erix, drummer Ari and guitarist Dory.
The album is scheduled for release in February.
