martphone application Qlue Jakarta has revealed that most complaints submitted by residents are related to issues of waste.
Qlue is a crowd-sourcing smartphone application in which users can report various problems such as flooding, crime, fire or waste disposal, and city officials respond through the CROP Jakarta smartphone application.
The relevant civil servants and officials nearest to the reported incidents will be detected through their smartphones and must respond to the reports.
Qlue marketing communication chief Agung Prabowo said in an official statement that the top three categories of complaints filed by residents through the smartphone application were about waste disposal at 24.1 percent, spatial-planning violations at 16 percent, and public facilities at 12.7 percent.
These were followed by illegal parking at 9.1 percent, traffic congestion at 7.4 percent, and illegal street vendors at 6.5 percent.
Agung urged residents to further participate in creating a better Jakarta by reporting issues or filing complaints through the application.
