sufferer of the rare giant cutaneous horn skin abnormality, Dede Koswara, died on Saturday at Hasan Sadikin General Hospital (RSHS) in Bandung, West Java, after a three-day coma. He was 45.
'The cause of death was multiple organ failure,' RSHS special infection team member Rudi Wisaksana said on Saturday.
Rudi added that Dede, dubbed 'tree man', had repeatedly undergone treatment at the hospital for his skin abnormality, a result of the human papilloma virus (HPV) II.
Dede, who lived in Cihampelas district, Bandung regency, had received medical treatment since 2007. Over the course of dozens of examinations and operations, Rudi said the team of doctors had found dysfunctions in Dede's liver, kidney and lungs.
