Guess what?: Dewi happy, sad about final novel

A

uthor Dewi '€œDee'€ Lestari says she has mixed feelings as the sixth and final novel in her '€œSupernova'€ series, entitled Inteligensi Embun Pagi (Morning Dew Intelligence), will be out soon.

'€œHonestly, it'€™s a happy, but also sad, moment for me. I feel glad that the last novel is finally finished, but it'€™s also difficult for me to say goodbye to stories that I'€™ve been working on for 15 years,'€ she said as quoted by kapanlagi.com.

The first installment of the '€œSupernova'€ series, Ksatria, Puteri dan Bintang Jatuh (The Knight, The Princess and the Falling Star), was released in 2001 '€” a work that propelled her to fame in the country'€™s literary world.  Other books in the series are Akar (Root), Petir (Thunder), Partikel (Particle) and Gelombang (Wave).

The 40-year-old Dewi said her fans also felt the same way as her, knowing '€œSupernova'€ would finally come to an end.

'€œI got a mixed response from my fans; some say that they are sad because it'€™s going to end, but others are also excited and curious as to what Inteligensi Embun Pagi will be like,'€ she said, adding that fans could already pre-order the book as it would only be released in bookstores on Feb. 26.
