nited Development Party (PPP) lawmaker Fanny Safriansyah has reportedly gone missing after being arrested last weekend.
Better known as Ivan Haz, the son of former vice president Hamzah Haz was reportedly caught in a drug raid at a housing complex of the Army's Strategic Reserve Command (Kostrad) in South Jakarta, conducted by the military police.
He was allegedly caught along with 19 military men, five police officials and nine civilians, including Ivan.
Ivan's lawyer, Tito Hananta, denied the arrest of his client, saying that he had not been informed about the case.
'I'm still gathering information from [Ivan's] family on this case,' said Tito on Wednesday, as quoted by tribunnews.com.
He also plans to meet with Kostrad and the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) to confirm the information.
A member of House of Representatives Commission IV, which oversees agriculture, food, forestry, plantation and fishery and maritime affairs, Ivan has also been implicated in another case concerning the alleged abuse of a housemaid.
The House's ethics council is preparing an ad hoc panel to proceed with the cases.
