ondolences have flooded the Instagram account of Silvana Regina Sutanto, an Indonesian businesswoman who died last week in a fire during a trip to Alaska with her family.
She last posted on her Instagram account @silsutantophoto around a week ago, when she was pictured taking a photograph while sitting beside a woman, with the caption "My beautiful assistant #Alaska #Kodiak". The photo was tagged with the location Kodiak, Alaska.
Dozens of people expressed their condolences by leaving comments on the post.
Silvana, daughter of Harjo Sutanto, co-founder of Indonesian conglomerate Wings Group, died in a blaze on Thursday when she was staying at a lodge on Kodiak Island off Alaska with her two children and daughter-in-law, who were injured in the incident.
Singapore resident Silvana was the only fatality in the fire that broke out around 4 a.m. at the Spirit of Alaska Wilderness Lodge at Uyak Bay, alaskapublic.org reported on Thursday.
After the incident, local authorities transported the victims to the village of Larsen Bay. No details were available yet on the cause of the fire, the report said.
A nature lover and avid photographer, Silvana also ran the blog silvanasutantophotography.com where she posted scenic photos from her trips. Most of the photos on her Instagram account are also nature photographs.
Silvana was the director of five wellness and investment companies in Singapore, including United Wealth Industries, The Inspiration Shop and Universal Wellbeing, the Straits Times reported on Monday. (rin)
