AKARTA: After two years on break from the big screen, model and actress Luna Maya apparently has something big under her sleeves.

She said she recently had the chance to appear in a Hollywood production and she has returned from Los Angeles for a shooting schedule.

“I thank God for the opportunity to work in Los Angeles. It is not a big role, but I’m grateful for the experience.

“I was the only Indonesian among the cast and crew,” Luna said as quoted by kapanlagi.com on Sunday.

Luna, 32, who was last seen in Princess, Bajak Laut dan Alien (Princess, the Pirate and Alien) in 2014, said she got the job from Manoj Punjabi from MD Pictures.

“By chance, he was one of the executive producers of the film. He said the character was meant for me and that he had no other option.”

The horror drama, entitled Devil’s Whisper, is slated for release next year. — JP
