The newest resident of Chicago's Lincoln Park Zoo wears stripes and weighs in at 109 pounds.

The unnamed foal is a Grevy's (GREH'-veez) zebra, the third born to 9-year-old Adia (AH'-dee-uh). Zoo staff arrived early Saturday to find the newborn already standing with her mother in their habitat.

For now, the foal has brown stripes. Zoo curator Dave Bernier (BUR'-neer) says they'll turn black after about two years.
