tate-owned railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia reopened Ancol Station on Saturday to facilitate passengers who want to spend their holidays enjoying the beach and its various attractions in North Jakarta.
“The station is reopened for people who want to enjoy recreational sites in Ancol,” said CEO of PT Kereta Api Commuter Jabodetabek (PT KCI) Muhammad Nurul Fadhila in Jakarta on Friday as reported by tribunnews.com.
Taman Impian Jaya Ancol (Ancol Dream Land Park) with its beach and its various entertainment facilities has become a popular destination for people living in Jakarta and its surrounding areas.
The management of Taman Impian Jaya Ancol will prepare buses to take train passengers to the entertainment facilities during Idul Friti from July 6 to July 10, said Muhammad, adding that KCI trains were expected to transport some 800 people per day during the holiday season.
The commuter train will operate from Kota Station to Tanjung Priok Station. “The schedule of the bus departure will be adjusted to the arrival of the train. The bus is free of charge,” he added.
Departure schedule:
From Kota Station: 6:35 a.m., 8:25 a.m., 11:40 a.m., 1:05 p.m., 2:25 p.m., 5 p.m.
From Ancol to Kota Station: 8 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 12: 35 a.m., 2 p.m., 4:35 p.m., 5:55 p.m.(bbn)
