akarta Health Agency head, Koesmedi Priharto said on Tuesday that 376 health facilities in the city would remain open to serve residents during the Idul Fitri holiday.
Facilities comprise of 349 community health centers, seven general hospitals and 20 district general hospitals around the city, he said.
“Those facilities will remain open on July 6 and 7. Hospital polyclinics may close but the emergency departments at the allocated hospitals will remain open 24 hours,” he said.
The agency has also set up emergency posts at train stations, bus stations, and tourism sites such as the Taman Impian Jaya Ancol amusement park complex in North Jakarta, Ragunan Zoo in South Jakarta and at strategic locations aound Jakarta’s Thousand Islands, Koesmedi said.
We have deployed up to nine health officers including doctors, midwives, nurses and paramedics at each post, Koesmedi added. (sha/iwa)
