T

he Jakarta Health Agency will establish two district general hospitals (RSUK) in Pasar Minggu and Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, this year.

The agency head, Koesmedi Priharto, said on Wednesday the project was still undergoing the bidding process in the Goods and Services Procurement Agency (BPPBJ).

“We allocated Rp 40 billion [US$3.04 million] for each hospital. Therefore, we need Rp 80 billion to build two hospitals,” he said as quoted by beritajakarta.com.

The construction of the hospitals was expected to be completed in six months, he said, adding that the RSUK that would be built were similar with the type D of the Regional General Hospital (RSUD).

Currently, Jakarta already has 20 hospitals around the city, including one in the Thousand Islands.
