AKARTA: Dangdut singer Ikke Nurjanah, 42, is touring several cities in the US for music performances as well as book discussions.

Titled America Seduced by Dangdut 2016, the tour is held between Sept. 1 and Sept. 15 in four cities — Washington DC, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and New York.

Aside from singing, Ikke also attended a book discussion at the University of Pittsburgh. The discussion talked about Ikke’s latest book Diary Dangdut Ikke Nurjanah (Ikke Nurjanah’s Dangdut Diary).

“There will be more discussions on dangdut in New York,” she said as quoted by kompas.com.

After New York, the singer is scheduled to stop by in Washington to hand over her biography to the Library of Congress. — JP
