mid protests from a group of community unit (RT) and neighborhood unit (RW) heads, crowd-sourcing public complaint application Qlue has reported that 90 percent of heads across the capital were active Qlue users.
Qlue marketing manager Elita Yunanda said in a press release on Thursday that as of Oct 10, reports from various stakeholders via Qlue reached up to 15.2 million, seven times higher than those in August.
“The reports are from 30,000 RT and RW heads who are active users,” she said.
Elita said the data showed that 90 percent of the heads actively used Qlue.
A group of RT/RWt heads, grouped under Forum RT/RW, have voiced their protest over the obligation to report their activities via Qlue to receive operational funds every month. If they send less then three photographs a day or 90 a month, they will get only Rp 70,000 (US$5.39). Many of them have recently been delivering their concerns to the Jakarta gubernatorial hopefuls.
Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama has previously threatened to fire heads, who are usually elected by residents, who do not comply with the regulation.
