akarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama told judges during a hearing on Tuesday that he was baffled by Muhammadiyah youth wing's blasphemy accusation against him.
Muhammadiyah youth wing secretary Pedri Kasman said the organization’s head, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, had concluded that Ahok had committed blasphemy after seeing the edited video of Ahok's speech mentioning a Quranic verse during working visit to Thousand Islands regency on Sept. 27.
Dahnil then ordered Pedri to report Ahok to the police for his alleged blasphemous remarks, Pedri said.
Ahok expressed disbelief to that statement by saying that he and Dahnil had a harmonious relationship.

"Do you know that I was invited by Dahnil to a Muhammadiyah event on April 12, 2015 as a clean governor role model for having managed the city budget well?" Ahok said to Pedri during the hearing.
Dahnil, Ahok said, had declared Ahok a role model for Muhammadiyah youngsters.
Ahok then showed the judges a photo of himself with Dahnil at a Muhammadiyah event.
Pedri said he knew about the event but did not attend it.
Ahok added that he always kept good communication with Dahnil, who often visited him at City Hall.
Pedri responded to Ahok's disbelief by showing the power of attorney given by Dahnil to him to report Ahok to the police. He also gave the letter to the judges as evidence. (dmr)
