T

he rector of Yogyakarta-based Indonesian Islamic University (UII), Harsoyo, announced his resignation on Thursday following the deaths of three new students who were allegedly bullied during an orientation program.

“As a leader with a moral responsibility, I resigned. The mistake was absolutely in the leadership. I ask for forgiveness for having tainted Indonesian education,” Harsoyo said in Yogyakarta.
