ncumbent Jakarta gubernatorial ticket Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama-Djarot Saiful Hidayat used the final campaigning day on Saturday to hold a party to thank their supporters at the Pullman Hotel in Central Jakarta.

Ahok’s wife Veronica Tan and Djarot’s wife Happy Farida, as well as a number of musicians who endorsed the pair such as Andre Hehanusa, Lita Zien, Lala Karmela, Nafa Urbach, Aline Andita, J-Flow, and Farhan, also attended the event, kompas.com reported.

During the event named #Te2imaKasihPendukungBadja or “Thank You Supporters of Badja (the ticket’s nickname)” Ahok and Djarot were seen dancing on stage when singer Bertha and rapper Iwa K. performed the song "Gara-gara Ahok-Djarot" or “Because of Ahok-Djarot” composed by Aryono Huboyo Djati.

“This event is aimed at boosting the spirits and the support for Ahok-Djarot,” said presenter Indi Barends, who was the event’s host.

“There are no more residents suffering, no more corruption, because Ahok and Djarot are clean,” her co-host celebrity Gading Marten said. (bbs)
