Heavy rain welcomes the arrival of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia at the Bogor State Palace on Wednesday.
The rain started around 1:40 p.m. and got heavier when the king's official car arrived 10 minutes later. The cavalry and marching band who waited since the morning greeted the king despite the rain.
Bogor residents who had waited for the Saudi king were also undeterred by the rain as they stood outside the Palace’s gate under their umbrellas.
The welcoming ceremony had been moved from the Palace’s field to the terrace.
The king has been scheduled to plant a Bornean Ironwood tree in the Palace’s yard. It is unclear if the Palace will cancel the event or not. (ary)
