The East Jakarta municipality plans to offer gym instruction at its open spaces.
The East Jakarta municipality’s sports and youth subagency head Eduard Situmeang said the municipality planned to equip 38 children-friendly integrated public spaces (RPTRAs) in East Jakarta with gym programs and instructors.
“We will prioritize hiring instructors from local residents living near the RPRTAs,” Eduard said.
The instructor will receive a payment every month.
"The payment is Rp 400,000 [US$30] before tax. The money will be directly transferred to their bank account," he said as quoted by beritajakarta.com on Thursday.
Gym programs are already up and running at 12 RPTRAs, Eduard said.
"We have agreed that the programs at the 12 RPTRAs are to be held on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays," he added.
