View all search resultshree bishops from the Indonesian Bishops Conference (KWI) will highlight the importance of peace and tolerance during a meeting of interfaith leaders with King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Friday.
The three bishops are KWI chairman Ignatius Suharyo, secretary-general Antonius Subianto Bunyamin and catechetics commission head Paskalis Bruno Syukur.
KWI executive secretary Siprianus Hormat said that during the meeting, the conference’s chairman would deliver a special message to King Salman.
“He will be given two minutes to make a statement on behalf of Catholics in Indonesia,” said Siprianus as quoted by Kompas.com in Jakarta on Friday.

He further said that Suharyo would also convey his view that there were universal values that all human beings must fight for, including the value of tolerance.
Apart from KWI, the Indonesian Communion of Churches (PGI) and the Indonesian Buddhists Association (Walubi) will also send representatives to attend the meeting. (rdi/ebf)
