View all search resultso fulfill people's right to e-ID cards, the Jakarta administration has requested 500,000 blank cards from the Home Ministry, an official has said.
“The blank cards are not only for those who haven’t obtained an ID card but also to replace ones reported missing,” said the Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Agency head Edison Sianturi as quoted by beritajakarta.com.
Edison also said the ministry was holding a tender to procure the blank cards. The process is expected to be completed by the end of March, according to earlier reports.
He added that the administration was issuing identification letters for residents who had recorded their personal data for e-ID cards but had yet to obtain them. (kkk)
