ndonesia has condemned the terrorist attack that struck the heart of London, England, on Wednesday, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"Indonesia conveys its utmost sympathies and condolences to the victims and their families who have been affected by this act of terror, as well as to the British government and its people," the statement reads.
The government also ensured there were not any Indonesian casualties reported, said Lalu Muhammad Iqbal, the director for the protection of Indonesian nationals and entities abroad.
"The Indonesian Embassy in London has established communications with the local authorities, and information relayed from the British foreign ministry's diplomatic protection group states there have not been any Indonesian casualties thus far," he said on Wednesday.

According to the ministry's eProtection database, there are 14,111 Indonesian citizens in the United Kingdom, including 3,000 students.
London was the latest city to be struck by what Scotland Yard is calling an "act of terror", when an unidentified assailant drove a car into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before crashing it outside Parliament Square and trying to enter the complex, armed with a knife.(jun)
