View all search resultssection of Jl. Gatot Subroto, one of South Jakarta’s main thoroughfares, will be temporarily closed every midnight for four days starting Friday, to ease traffic during the construction of an overpass.
Jakarta Transportation Agency’s traffic engineering division head Priyanto said the closure was needed for road widening that would claim a pedestrian walkway in front of the Indonesian Air Force headquarters.
"We will widen the road in front of the Air Force headquarters. The widening is needed to extend the road capacity due to heavy congestion caused by the construction of the Pancoran overpass," Priyanto said as quoted by kompas.com on Friday. (agn)
