nies Baswedan, the presumptive winner of the Jakarta gubernatorial election, has said that his predecessor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama offered to help him form a team during the transition period to help smooth out the transition process.
The offer was based on the fact that revision for the 2017 city budget commenced in April, Anies said on Saturday.
“So Pak Ahok says we’ll form a team,” Anies said on Saturday in Bekasi, West Java, during a soccer match between Persija Jakarta and Barito Putera.

He added, however, that the establishment of the team would be carried out next month, after the Jakarta General Elections Commission (KPU) officially announces him and his running mate Sandiaga Uno as victors of the runoff election.
“We will not do anything until the KPU officially announces [the election result],” he said as quoted by kompas.com
A number of pollsters have projected Anies as the winner of the runoff election. (fac/dan)
