View all search resultshe Transjakarta Kampung Melayu bus stop returned to regular operations on Friday after being damaged by a bomb explosion that killed three police personnel on Wednesday night, a company spokesperson has said.
“This morning, Kampung Melayu bus stop began serving passengers again,” said bus operator PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) spokesperson Wibowo said on Friday as quoted by wartakota.tribunnews.com.
To secure the bus stop, Transjakarta increased the number of security guards to eight personnel. Police and Indonesian Military (TNI) officers were also on site guarding the area around the bus stop.
Wednesday saw two explosions at approximately 9 p.m. and 9.05 p.m., which caused the deaths of three police officers and two alleged suicide bombers. Dozens of people injured in the blasts are still being treated at several of the capital’s hospitals. (wnd)
