“He plans to give the money to his children and grandchildren in Padang, West Sumatra,” agency head Benny Martha said.
Benny said the man, who had been a beggar in Jakarta for a year, appeared to not have bathed in a long time.
Benny added that it was difficult to communicate with Jasir because of a difference in dialect.
“We have taken him into Bina Insan Bangun Daya 2 temporary shelter in Cipayung, East Jakarta. He will receive social services,” Benny said. (fac)
