Guess what?: Iqbaal cast as Dilan in movie of novel

Boyband Coboy Junior member Iqbaal Dhiafakhri has been cast for the leading-man role in the upcoming teen flick DILAN.

The announcement on the casting of Iqbaal to play the Dilan character was made during a press conference at the Falcon Pictures office in Duren Tiga, South Jakarta, on Monday.

DILAN is based on the novel Dilan: Dia Adalah Dilanku (Dilan: He is my Dilan) by Pidi Baiq.

The novel was first published in 1990 and since then, it has gained a significant cult following among teenagers.

Prior to the announcement, Iqbaal arrived on a Honda CB motorcycle, Dilan’s favorite ride in the novel, Kapanlagi.com reported.

The shooting process for DILAN will begin later this month and the film is expected to premiere in December.
