ndonesian favorite Agus Prayogo snatched the men’s marathon silver medal at the 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, clocking in at 2:27:16 in the competition held in Putrajaya, Malaysia, on Saturday.

Agus lost Saturday’s battle for gold after being overtaken by Singapore’s Soh Rui Yong, who recorded a time of 2:24:55, in the last two kilometers.

Meanwhile, Malaysia's Muhaizar Mohamad came in at third after reaching the finish line at 2:35:05.

Agus, the 2015 SEA Games’ gold medalist in the 10,000-meter and silver medalist in the 5,000-m, admitted he was not able to perform to the best of his ability.

“The Singaporean did better. I am not happy with today’s result. But I have to keep on going; I still have to reach my maximum ability [in next race here],” said Agus as quoted by Antara.
