tate-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura (AP) II expects the completion of the east wing of Terminal 3, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in early November, aiming for the gradual moving of all international carriers to the new terminal by early 2018.
“We are making the finishing touches now. Our target is for the [east wing] of the building to be ready by the beginning of November,” said Soekarno-Hatta Operations and Services Executive Manager Djody Prasetyo on Tuesday, as quoted by kompas.com.
International flights at Terminal 2 will be moved gradually to Terminal 3. According to Djody, seven airlines are currently serving international routes via Terminal 3: Garuda Indonesia, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, Korean Air, Xianmen Airlines, China Airlines and China Southern Airlines.
“The airlines will gradually be moved to Terminal 3 starting in November, then in December and into 2018,” he said.
AP II is targeting a total of 34 international airlines to operate out of Terminal 3. (wnd)
